The Aeon Labs Smart Energy Monitor is a low-cost energy monitor for the entire home. The installation is extremely easy.  You don't need a electrician to do it.  The report includes real time wattage and KWh usage.  The real time data is received by your Z-Wave controller.  You do not need  to handle hot exposed wiring.

This device using current transformer clamps clamp around the AC Mains to detect energy usage for the entire house. The main body is anchored using a back mount which opens to easily for battery replacement once a year.
