The lock work well by itself as any other digital lock.  If you would like to use it as a smart lock as part of your smart home setup, an additional Z Wave module and a Z Wave Home Controller (such as FIBARO Lite or Vera Lite) is required. Your Z Wave hub and the lock must be in the same frequency.  If you do not know what does it means, send us an email to get the details.

This is another high quality Z-Wave ready door lock by Yale.  The different between YDM4109 is it is design without the long bar handle.  This look does not affect the aesthetic of the well design door with handle.
